Samphire is the only ‘one man band with 2 people’  –  they play a multitude of instruments such as Guitar, melodeon, recorders, mandolin, bass, harmonica, flutes…

Influences include a multitude of genres such as traditional Folk, Folk Rock, Pop, Jazz, Blues, Rock and World Music, Irish, Latin, Greek and Eastern European through to REM, Crowded House, Van Morrison, Neil Young, Rolling Stones and many others, 300+ tunes.

 

 

 

Mike Harman

A string instrumentalist, (guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, banjo), also vocals and Cajon drummer. Mike’s contributions to Samphire are vocals, guitar, mandolin, banjo and Cajon (Spanish Drum). Mike has performed in many rock bands and Straight Furrow (folk music)

Susan Williams

A multi-instrumentalist, vocals, piano, melodeon, guitar, bass guitar, saxophone, flute, recorder, keyboards, clarinet. Susan’s contributions to Samphire are mainly on vocals, flute, melodeon, recorder, mandolin and bass guitar. Played and was ‘caller’ for Straight Furrow for many years and now calls for Samphire when dancing is required.
