20 June 2015 – Music & Arts Festival – 12 hours of live music
Gary and Carol Seale are a husband and wife combo, with Carol on keyboards producing that big-band sound for Gary’s powerful vocals. Carol was taught to play piano by her grandmother, who played in cinemas creating the musical atmosphere for the silent movies. Gary is a former DJ who only ever really sang on karaoke nights.
Married for 28 years, they had never thought of playing and singing together until they started doing the open mic sessions. Very quickly they became a hit at the local bars with their eclectic mixture of music, along with Gary’s mischievous sense of humour. He manages to get the whole audience involved.
Their repertoire is very much based on the American Songbook and sounds from the ‘60s.
